Suji uses prepaid credit and hourly compute rates. Compute is charged by the minute, with a one-hour minimum per VM. Charges continue while the VM remains allocated, including while it is stopped. For the conceptual overview see Billing & credits. This page is the pricing reference.

VM sizes

Each VM has its own operating system and allocated memory and disk. The vCPUs share underlying host compute; these sizes are not dedicated physical servers or dedicated CPU cores. Monthly figures assume 730 hours and are estimates, not caps. Longer months cost more; displayed hourly rates are rounded. Deleting a VM stops compute charges. Stopping it does not.

What’s free

  • Inbound traffic — no inbound traffic charge.
  • App installs — Suji charges no per-app installation fee. Apps share the VM’s resources; third-party licences, subscriptions and API usage may have their own costs.
  • App URL routing and HTTPS — provided for supported exposed marketplace apps.

What’s billed beyond the VM hour

  • Outbound traffic — 20 TiB per VM per calendar month is included. Additional traffic costs €0.0015/GiB, with each metering charge rounded up to the next cent.
  • Managed daily backups — optional, with a surcharge of 20% of the VM compute charge while enabled. These backups belong to the VM and are deleted when the VM is deleted or managed backups are disabled.
  • Snapshot storage — €0.02 per GiB-month, billed daily at 1/30 of the monthly rate, based on the size of stored, ready snapshots.
  • Volumes — €0.000126 per GB-hour, whether attached or detached (approximately €0.092 per GB-month at 730 hours). Delete the volume to stop its charges.

Resizing & multi-VM

  • Resize between available sizes from the dashboard. Resizing stops and restarts the VM, so plan for downtime. Disk size cannot shrink; a smaller plan must accommodate the existing disk.
  • Multiple VMs: each VM bills independently while allocated, whether running or stopped.
  • Stop a VM: powers down the OS but does not stop the bill. The VM remains allocated while stopped, so the hourly rate continues. Use Stop for ops/maintenance, not to save money.
  • Destroy a VM: compute charges stop. Export your data or take a snapshot first if you need it later. Retained snapshots and volumes remain separately billable until deleted; deleting a VM does not remove those storage costs.

Comparing to subscription pricing

Coming from a “€X/month” SaaS? The mental model is:
  • The €/month figure above estimates 730 hours of compute; it is not a maximum bill. Duration, storage and excess outbound traffic affect the total.
  • Running a smaller VM, fewer VMs, or destroying VMs you don’t need directly reduces the bill. (Stopping a VM does not — a stopped VM bills the same as a running one.)
  • App installs have no separate Suji fee. Apps can affect storage, traffic and third-party service costs.
